WatchMy.bike runs an MCP server,
so you can manage your bikes and components by talking to Claude
Desktop, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible client.
Examples of what you can ask:
- "List my bikes."
- "How many km on the chain on my Domane?"
- "Add a new component: Shimano CN-HG901 chain on my road bike,
installed today." - "Which components are due for service?"
Setup
The full walk-through (with screenshots) is on our blog:
Connect Claude AI to your WatchMy.bike garage.
In short:
- Open Claude Desktop's settings → Connectors → Add custom
connector. - Use
https://mcp.watchmy.bikeas the server URL. - You'll be redirected to WatchMy.bike to log in and grant access.
- Back in Claude Desktop, you'll see WatchMy.bike tools available.
ChatGPT and other MCP clients work the same way — point them at the
same URL.
What's exposed
The MCP server exposes most of what you can do in the web app:
- Bikes — list, get, create, update, delete; check publish
status and maintenance status. - Components — list, get, create, update, delete, install,
uninstall, transfer; list types; view full history. - Service intervals — list / create / update / delete at both
the component level and the bike level; record services. - Logbook — list, create, update, delete, and backfill ride /
service / milestone entries. - Sharing — publish or unpublish a bike or your profile,
update privacy settings (real name / location / costs), check
publish status. - Health — per-bike and across-the-garage health snapshots so
the assistant can spot what needs attention. - Help & blog search —
search_help_docsandsearch_blog_postsso the assistant can quote our docs back at
you in plain language.
It runs as your account, so you only ever see your own data and
the same plan limits apply.
Privacy
The MCP connection uses OAuth (just like Strava). You can revoke it
at any time from your account settings.
