WatchMy.bike notifies you when components need attention. A daily
job runs at 8am UTC, evaluates every component against its
lifespan + service intervals, groups the results by bike, and
sends them via the channels you've enabled.
Channels
- Email — included on every plan.
- Web push (browser/PWA notifications) — opt in from
Settings → Notifications. Works on desktop and on mobile after
installing the PWA. - SMS — Carbon plan only. See
Pricing tiers.
When alerts fire
- Warning — component reaches 80–99% of its expected lifespan.
- Critical — component exceeds 100% of its expected lifespan.
- Service due — component exceeds its service interval.
Two levels of control
Both must be on for an alert to fire — turning either off silences
the alert.
- Account-wide — Settings → Notifications. Master switch for
email and (separately) web push. SMS appears here on Carbon. - Per-component (Alloy / Carbon) — click the bell icon on any
component card to mute or unmute that single component.
Steel accounts get a single account-wide email switch; per-component
muting unlocks on Alloy.
Customizing thresholds (Alloy / Carbon)
Premium plans can adjust:
- Warning threshold — when alerts begin (default 80%).
- Alert frequency — how often to be reminded.
- Cooldown period — minimum time between repeat alerts for the
same issue.
Free (Steel) accounts use the default thresholds.
When you fix it
Once you replace or service the part,
record the service to reset the
clock — otherwise the alerts keep firing.
