Introducing WatchMy.Bike: The Bike Component Tracker with Strava Sync

Today, I'm excited to launch WatchMy.Bike – a platform built by a cyclist, for cyclists who care about their gear and want a (online) home for their bikes .
Why I Built This
If you're reading this, you probably own at least one bike. Maybe more. And if you're like most cyclists, you've probably wondered at some point: "When did I last replace that chain?" or "How many kilometers are on these tires?"
I've been cycling seriously since 2008, and I've tried every solution out there. Spreadsheets. Notes apps. Strava's built-in gear tracking. Other dedicated apps. None of them quite fit.
The tracking apps were great for maintenance but had no way to showcase builds. The showcase platforms (like Pedal Room) were beautiful but didn't track anything and are also a bit outdated. And all tracking apps require Strava – which isn't helpful if you're a collector, a casual rider, or someone who doesn't have a strava account.
WatchMy.Bike bridges this gap.
What Makes WatchMy.Bike Different
1. Tracking AND Showcasing
WacthMy.Bike is the only platform that combines:
- Gear lifecycle tracking (components, distances, maintenance)
- Public bike profiles with custom Profile URLs
- Component history that follows parts between bikes
You don't have to choose between tracking your maintenance and showing off your builds.
2. Works Without Strava
This might be the most important differentiator. While WatchMy.Bike fully supports Strava sync (and it's great!), you don't have to use it.
This opens up WatchMy.Bike to:
- Bike collectors who don't ride often but want to document their collection
- Custom builders showcasing their work
- Bike shops managing inventory
3. Custom Public URLs
Your bikes deserve a permanent home on the internet. You get custom URLs like:
WatchMy.Bike/p/marien/ (with you bikes listed)
WatchMy.Bike/b/{bikeId}
WatchMy.Bike/directory (an index page with all the public bikes listed)
Share them on forums, in marketplace listings, or just to show friends. Unlike hoping for a feature on Bike Vault, your profile and bikew are always there.
